Akron Children’s Museum

Nana, Abba, and Uncle Brian came up to see us before we move this Saturday. We went out to dinner at the Burntwood Tavern and we also went to the Akron Children’s Museum. The girls LOVED it. There was so much to do and not too many kids running around.

Ruby and Cora could have stayed and played there all day. They had a dozen or so different areas with cool sciencey things to play with.

Clayton had just as much fun as the kids. He built a giant LEGO castle that ended up being a big hit with all the other kids at the museum.

Ruby like pretending to drink tea out of the little wooden tea set. She was so cute sipping air!

Cora spent a lot of time pushing these carts around. She and Ruby both enjoy pushing strollers, carts, chairs, poppers, etc.

There was a little hospital section with a row of babies and a row of dogs in kennels. Both girls carried around babies and dogs most of the time we were there.

We had the best time. If I had known how much the girls would love that museum I would have bought them passes months ago. There’s a similar one in Utah though that Dani is a member of, and I can foresee us spending a lot of time there during the winter.

Well we’ve been preparing for our move like mad men. Dani helped up pack up our house all afternoon and evening. We are loading the truck tomorrow, the girls and aunts are flying out Saturday morning, and then Clayton and I will begin the long drive to Utah. I am REALLY not looking forward to driving one of the cars all by myself for 26 hours, but it must be done.

In other news, Clayton passed his CFP test. Hooray! He was pretty nervous about it, but he studied really hard and it paid off. We’re proud of him and glad that we get our evenings and weekends with him back.
